After the kona rain

What wet fairways do to your wedges.

· Kenji Arakaki

When a kona storm passes through, the courses soften. The next day, the fairways are lush and the ball sits down.

A wedge with too little bounce digs. One with a lot of bounce skates. The right choice depends on how much the turf has softened.

What we recommend

Carry a wedge with at least ten degrees of bounce for wet weather. If you swing steeply, go higher.

We can test both on the mat before you decide.
